YOU guys will all get served...i'm 18 and i have been twice once when i was 16 and once when i was 17 and i had no problem...they dont check ids..u just ask for a drink and u get it...no special wrist bands or anything....so have fun

I am 15 and plan to visit the Dominican Republic in July. Bonao to be exact. I really don't think I will get carded cuz I look alot older. I always pass off for 18 in the States. But neways I was wondering what are some rocking clubs in Bonao and what clubs don't ID you.

Hey! I am going to the Dominican Republic this November with my family and a few friends...my concern is not the drinking age because I know how Carribean islands are and for those of you who are heading to the Bahamas I got trashed there at 13. I wanted to know if anyone knows if marijuana is legal and if not is it enforced?

Do not, I repeat do not or even think about drugs, soft or otherwise. There is a zero tolerance policy in the DR and you go straight to jail do not pass go! Not nice places in fact considered some of the worst jails in the world.

I'm also 16 and leaving for Punta Cana on Tuesday. I'm staying at an all-inclusive. When I was in Cancun, they checked my ID at the resort...but I never really tried to drink anywhere else. What are the odds that I will be able to get alcohol at the resort? And in clubs, bars, etc elsewhere?

the odds are very good you won't have a problem outside the resort unless you look 12 years old and act like an idiot. At the resort unless you have paid a child's rate and are wearing a child's bracelet you should be o.k. too.

I'm 15 but i people say i could pass for 17 maybe 18 and i'm going to DR next January. Would they serve me drinks at bars,clubs etc??? email me back PLEASE!!!!

Probably on the north coast you will get served, they would be more inclined not to in the capital.

I went to the DR last december and I didn't get asked for Id once. I even had a colour coded wristband for being under 18. The bartenders there didn't care how old we were because they were too busy telling me and my friend how beautiful we were. One of them even asked me out. Just to let girls know the dominican guys don't care how many yrs different in age you are they'll tell u they like u and try to get with you. Also before u go you might wanna learn the merengue thats the only kind of dancing they know there and it's really embarrasing if you go in a competition and have no clue what your doing.Also don't be shocked if you see naked people because theres tonz haha. But I had a blast so if you do go to the DR remember there are no rules! lol
