We are traveling to Puerto Plata (Sun Village) from July 11 to the 18th. I see the weather predicts rain everyday -- I'm assuming because of the hurricane. Do you think that the weather will clear up on a daily basis or will it just be continuous rain?

Hi,
Am thinking of travelling to DP late September through to early October. Was wonder what the weather is usually like this time of year. What the chances of rain are and does anybody know what the chances of hurricanes at this time of the year is. Thinking of stay at Riu Mambo Hotel if anybody has heard any reviews on this place. Don't want to know much do I.
Thanks to anybody who can help.
Helene

julius Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Dear Julius,
I am also going to peurto Platz end of August to celebrate my 60th birthday and was wondering what the weather is generally like for that time of the year. I know it generally hurricane seasons. Also what sort of activities/entertainment available to all ages as I am travelling with my grandchildren 7 thru to 12.
I AM told that the country is very poor and has a lot of health problems due to sanitation.
Your comments would be appreciated.
Regards
Genet
