I think your question is whether Camino del Sol and Paraiso del Sol, right? And not Paraiso del Sol and Paraiso del Beach Resort.

Camino del Sol and Paraiso del Sol are indeed within the same hotel complex and owned by the same people. Camino del Sol is the older part and is closer to the beach. Paraiso rooms should be superior (they where 5-6 years ago when it was all new).

no not right! i have seen pictures on some sites that refer to the paraiso del sol beach resort and they have a different pool that i have never seen in any brochure, it is a large pool that sort of swirls around with palm trees etc, is very narrow in parts. its not the large pool with the childrens part or the small square pool. hope someone can help.

Well, I now understand. This is definitely a mistake. These pictures are not from Paraiso del Sol. In fact they are not even from Cabarete.

The second picture. There is no resort that looks like that ins Cabarete, This is typical Punta Cana style. But more so, when a picture taken in that direction in Cabarete, one would see the beautiful hills in the background and not the boring plains like in Punta Cana.

Paraiso del Sol does not have such a nice, huge pool. And the whole thing looks like a 5 star hotel and Paraiso del Sol is a 3 star hotel (even if on that site it gives it 4 stars).

I can see some people being quite dissapointed if they book through that page. It is straight forward "false representation".

On just booking a fortnight holiday in the Dominican and staying at the Paraiso del sol, I have some concerns after reading numerous reviews on the hotel and the standard of the accomodation.   I would be grateful to hear from anyone that has previously stayed at the hotel and there true review on the hotel and the surrounding areas.

thanks

just to let people know that airtours have decided to move everyone from this hotel and give alternate as it has failed all the health and safety tests. they are not using this hotel anymore and have booked me in alternate with £20 compensation each. the hotel they have chosen looks o.k. and is 24 hour all inclusive, it is the hoteturs villas doradas. hope everyone gets a good replacement.

Oh great, not the news we were wanting to hear.  Thanks for updating us.  We have decided to seek alternate accomodation.  It's really unfortunate your holiday so far has turned into somewhat of an upheavel.  Lets hope now the remainder of your holiday turns out to be a success. Thanks again
